Mark it in capital letters in your agenda: next year, on Saturday, June 15, classic racing and sports cars will once again be driving on the runways of Gilze-Rijen airbase. Of course, there will also be Spitfires and other historical aircraft circling the sky, after all, the event is called Classic Wings & Wheels for a reason.

This time, it’s going to be an especially festive edition because Classic Wings & Wheels will be held for the tenth time on June 15, 2024.

To add extra grandeur to the anniversary, Henk Janus, chairman of the Wings & Wheels Foundation, has secured the cooperation of the HARC (Historic Auto Racing Club) and the classic car magazine Octane Magazine.

Moreover, Classic Wings & Wheels not only celebrates its own birthday: the 75th anniversary of Abarth will also be an important theme. Expect even more special features; more news will follow later.

Classic Wings & Wheels is an intimate event where enthusiasts of classic cars and old airplanes come together. Due to its ambiance, it has earned the nickname ‘Goodwood Revival of the Low Countries,’ partly because of the large number of classic racing and sports cars in action at the base. And not just that, historic airplanes ensure there is plenty to experience in the sky as well.

In addition to the Foundation itself, the Royal Dutch Air Force Historical Flight, the Rotary Club Oosterhout, and Circuit Zandvoort are contributing to the organization.
